1. Data Controller

Fleeq is the data controller for data processed through Slate (slate.fleeq.net). For any GDPR-related requests, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].

2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest: Server access logs for security monitoring and abuse prevention.
  • Consent: Any future features requiring personal data will request explicit consent before collection.

3. Data Minimization

Slate is designed with privacy by default. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service. User preferences and download history are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage and are never transmitted to our servers.

4. Your Rights Under GDPR

As an EU/EEA resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to restriction: Request restriction of processing of your data.
  • Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

5. Data Transfers

Image content is served via Pexels' CDN, which may involve data transfers outside the EEA. Pexels maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. Our servers are hosted within the European Union.

6. Data Retention

Server access logs are automatically deleted after 30 days. No other personal data is stored server-side.

7. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and affected individuals without undue delay, as required by Article 33 and 34 of the GDPR.

8. Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your rights under the GDPR have been violated.
